M&M will now be Missions and More beginning in January. The time stays the same, 6:00-7:30, but instead of Music, we will have fun with Missions. We teach missions at SLBC by playing games, trying cultural food, taking trips, and learning about ongoing missions locally and abroad... and we also will learn how to tell people about Jesus right where we live.

Mission Friends is for 3-year-olds through Kindergarten having a first introduction to missions. Girls in Action (GAs) is our fun, interactive learning opportunity for 1st-5th grade girls to spend time with just girls, learning how their special gifts can reach others for Christ. Royal Ambassadors (RAs) is a high-energy learning environment geared towards 1st- 5th grade boys to begin learning exactly what it takes to be a light for Christ in their families and schools.

M&M is a great opportunity to teach your child about service while they have great fun with lock-ins, field trips, and community service.

Is your student interested in music, dance or interpretive signing? Let them join us at Creative Movement every Wednesday from  6-7pm in room 305.

Financial Peace University (FPU) will meet Wednesdays, 6-7:30pm, room 222, beginning February 1.  FPU is Dave Ramsey’s life-changing program that teaches you to achieve your financial goals.  You will be challenged and motivated in all 13 sessions to make a plan for your money.  Cost of $99 per family includes all materials needed for the class.  Scholarships are available.   The class is led by David Starnes.  Contact  for more information or to register for the class.

  Bible Drill : 3rd-6th Graders

1. Do you want your 3^rd- 6^th graders to know the books of the Bible and how to find them?
2.   Do you want them to memorize scripture that will help them for the rest of their lives?
3.   Do you want them to know how to find key passages of scripture?

Parents want the best for their children. They are willing to go to great lengths to give them the best. I want to offer you something that will help them learn the best Book ever- Bible Drill. You don’t have to go to great lengths; you just have to be willing to give a little time. If you do, your child will be blessed by that for the rest of their lives.

•  Kids get to enjoy a variety of fun games to teach them verses and books.

• We can compete in 3 levels of competition: Church, Association and State.
• We have a fun trip to Austin for our State Competition.
• We start in January and end in April.

All students in grades 6-12 are invited to join us as we take our annual Easter retreat to Carolina Creek Camp for E*Star 2012.  We will leave on Thursday, Maunday Thursday and return Friday, Good Friday evening. E*Star Retreat is a spring getaway for students to fellowship together and focus on the Passion and Resurrection of Jesus Christ.  We will enjoy worship with the Justin Cofield Band, study the Word of God, interact in small group discussions, participate in experiential worship, build group unity through recreation, and just plain have a blast!

All student who have completed grades 6-12 are invited to our summer kick-off trip, RiverWild!  We will have our annual 2-day trip to New Braunfels, TX to float the Comal River Tube Chute and spend a day at Schlitterbahn!  Trip dates are June 25th-26th; early registration period through May 27th ($95), and registration through June 17th ($125). World Changers is for all youth who have completed 6th-12th grade. World Changers seeks to provide Christian youth with opportunities to meet the physical and spiritual needs of others through practical learning experiences that teach servant-hood and personal commitment to missions. We will be working in crews of 10-15 students from all around the country repairing homes in low income neighborhoods and sharing the gospel. We will be roofing (high school only) painting, and doing carpentry.
