Humility places God between us and our troubles or our enemies. Humility is the acknowledgment of human weakness finding its strength in the power of God. Humility is the supreme confession of the Apostle Paul, “But he said to me, ‘MY GRACE IS SUFFICIENT FOR YOU, FOR MY POWER IS MADE PERFECT IN WEAKNESS.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. FOR WHEN I AM WEAK, THEN I AM STRONG.” (2 Corinthians 12:9-10)

Do Not Be Overcome By Evil

Evil can never be overcome by evil. When hatred is met with hatred there is an escalation of hatred. Evil can only be overcome by good and hatred by love. As believers in Jesus Christ we are commanded to maintain Christian principles in the midst of all kinds of opposition in order to demonstrate the power of the gospel.
